PV Delhi Campus

Established in 2011 with inspiration of H.H. Yugpradhan Acharya Shri Shivmuni, PV Delhi campus is an extension unit of Parshwanath Vidyapeeth running in Varanasi for the last 75 years. The aim of the campus is to run the academic programmes in Prakrit & Jainology for Jain monks, nuns and general people. Under the academic programmes, the centre will arrange classes on graduate and post graduate level and organize Seminar and workshop at least twice in the year. To begin with, the centre has started Certificate and Diploma courses in Prakrit and Jainology. The centre has full support of Akhil Bharatiya Sthanakavasi Shramana Sanghiya Shravak Samiti, a social organization working under the guidance and blessings of H. H. Acharya Shivmuniji.

1. Medium of Instruction Hindi/English .
2. Reading material shall be provided in Hind .
3. Contact classes can be organized at a Sthanak near you on regular basis provided 4-5 students request them.
4. Preiodical written assignments will be graded for final results of each program.

1. Certificate Course in Jainology- Of one semester duration, this course has following three papers in all.

Paper I- Jaina Agamic Tradition and Principles 100 Marks
Paper II- Jaina Ethics, Culture and Meditation 100 Marks
Paper III- Grammer and Literature 100 Marks

Each paper will contain 100 marks including descriptive questions for 60 maks, objective-type questions for 10 marks and internal evaluation for 30 marks based on all three papers.
2. Diploma in Jainology- Of two semesters duration, this course has following four papers in all.

Paper I- Jaina Agamic Tradition and Principles 100 Marks
Paper II- Jaina Tradition, Culture and Art 100 Marks
Paper III- Jaina Ethics and Meditation 100 Marks
Paper IV Grammer and Literature 100 Marks

Each paper will contain 100 marks including descriptive questions for 60 maks, objective type questions for 10 marks and internal evaluation for 30 marks based on all four papers. Out of four two papers will be taught in each semester.

Important: In III paper of Diploma in Jainology, first four chapters of Dashavaikalika and eighth chapter of Tattvarthasutra will be taught for Jaina monks/nuns and lay devotees respectively.

Eligibility for the Course: Desiarable 10+2

There is no bar limit of age and qualification for Jaina Monks/Nuns and Mumukshus.
Fee Structure: Fee for both Certificate and Diploma course in Jainoloygy are Rs. 500.00 per semester.

3. Correspondence Certificate Course in Prakrit- Of two semesters duration, this course has following two papers in all.

Paper I- Prakrit Story and Poetic Literature 100 Marks
Paper II- Prakrit Grammer and Composition 100 Marks

4. Correspondence Diploma Course in Prakrit- Of two and Half semesters duration, this course has following four papers in all.

Paper I- History of Prakrit Literature 100 Marks
Paper II- Prakrit Prose and Verses 100 Marks
Paper III- Prakrit Grammer and Composition 100 Marks
Paper IV Manuscriptology and Prakrit Manuscripts 100 Marks

Eligibility for the Course: Any one without bar of any qualification may be admitted to the course.

Fee Structure: Fee for both Certificate and Diploma course are Rs. 500.00 per semester.

Application Form: Application form for all four courses can be had on payment of Rs. 20.00 by MO or Indian Postal Order payable at Delhi to Parshwanath Vidyapeeth, Delhi Campus, F.3/20 Ramavihar, New Delhi 110 081.

Last Date to submit the Form: Application forms can be submitted on or before 7th May 2012 to the Cordinator, Parshwanath Vidyapeeth, Delhi Campus, F.3/20 Ramavihar, New Delhi 110081.

Examination: Written and Viva-voce examinations will be conducted in first week of November and and result will be declared by last week of Decemberin every academic year.
